Love vs Pron

Like always, this one started off as a discussion and my chain of thoughts went haywire. This time was with V. He’s amazingly weird about everything and we’ve had conversations I didn’t think I had in me. V’s a V.

So basically pron and love are yin and yang. There’s always a little pron going on when we’re in love (especially when it’s the can’t-keep-your-hands-off-each-other kinds); and let’s face it – we all love pron. But they’re almost mutually exclusive too. When we’re in love with someone, we don’t watch pron that often and when we’re single, we can’t have enough on our hands.

It must be biological, I’m sure of it. There must be a hormone that inhibits the use of hands and I’m sure it is secreted all the time we’re in love. What’s more, it must be the same secretion that makes us believe in the lovey-dovey wine drinking goodness that we as men would otherwise barf on. It has to be the same hormone that was responsible for Vivah being a runaway hit. Similarly, there must be a complementary hormone that makes us barf as stated above – the hormone which dictates that we have to watch Die Hard if they’re showing it on television and how a-man-who-was-supposed-to-be-with-his-family-on-Christmas-but-isn’t-coz-of-the-terrorist-attack-which-he-incidentally-thwarts-single-handedly is supposed to be spellbinding. The male human body must be capable of dishing out only one of these at a time, while females do not possess a gland for the second one. Mithun da’s movies call it gurda i think. It is at times like these that I wish I had chosen docktary as a profession.

So even though right now pron seems like a fairly good mode of entertainment, I do feel guilty at times when I see a beautiful girl cross the street. Everything else is just your imagination.
